R.C. Sproul Has Contributed to the Body of Christ in Immense Ways. He Details his Conversion Experience

SANFORD, FL – Internationally known reformed theologian Dr. R.C. Sproul will be celebrating his sixtieth year since Christ redeemed his soul from hell.

Describing his experience he reveals that the Lord used a less-than familiar scripture to awaken his heart to the Gospel.

“I think I’m the only person in the history of the church to be converted by a particular verse that God used to open up my heart and my eyes to the truth of Christ,” begins Dr. Sproul.

The text about which he is speaking comes from the book of Ecclesiastes 11:3:

If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves on the earth, and if a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it will lie

“I saw myself as a tree falling,” recounts the pastor the Copastor at St. Andrews Chapel, Sanford, FL.  “and rotting, and decaying. And that was the description of my life. That’s where I was. Nobody had to tell me that I was a sinner, I knew that. It was abundantly clear to me.”

Watch as he describes this most glorious occasion of his life.

Dr. Sproul holds degrees from Westminster College, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and the Free University of Amsterdam.  He founded Ligonier ministries in 1971 with offices located in Ligonier, PA to “to awaken as many people as possible to the holiness of God by proclaiming, teaching, and defending God’s holiness in all its fullness.”  Later, the ministry was relocated to Sanford, FL.  He can be heard daily on Renewing Your Mind on radio stations around the world.
