If you were wondering what to get me for Christmas let me suggest the one thing you could purchase that would cause me to actually hate you – buying me the worlds most expensive potato chip.

According to the video, these chips are produced by St. Erik’s Brewery, a micro in Sweden.  Made to compliment their beers as a snack, the crispy taters sell for a whopping $11 per chip.

Yes, you read that correctly.  A case of five is sold for $55 – for five potato chips.

That wouldn’t be one bite for me, but evidently there is a market for them.

“St. Erik’s Brewery is one of Sweden’s leading microbreweries and we’re passionate about the craftsmanship that goes into our beer”, brand manager Marcus Friari said in a statement.

“At the same time, we felt that we were missing a snack of the same status to serve with it. A first-class beer deserves a first-class snack, and this is why we made a major effort to produce the world’s most exclusive potato chips. We’re incredibly proud to be able to present such a crispy outcome.”

Hand picked, hand made and perfect balance make up these tater chips.  But paying a whopping $11.20 per chip – we bet you will only eat just one.

Would you ever consider paying this much for a potato chip?  Sound of on The Breakdown’s Facebook page or in the comments below.
